Episode 100: Psalm 100
Dear friends, welcome to Peace Prayers. My name is Juli, the creator and host of the podcast, and I would love to be able to spend some time with you today. Our goal is to take a few moments and dive deep into God’s word before meditating on it ourselves. I’ll read a scripture from the Bible, and then we’ll pray it together over our lives. Invite a friend to listen in and let’s start our day with God’s peace. I am so excited to get started; thank you for joining me today.
You’re listening to Episode 100 and today’s verse is Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.
Let’s pray together.
Praise You, God, the Creator of the earth. You have given us joy and I ring through with the hallelujahs You inspire. The entire earth is filled and You are the center of all. I am glad before You today, desiring to worship You and to sing Your praise. I desire to give my all to You. Let me sing, let me dance, let me use all that I have to give You the honor You more than deserve. It is not enough, but it is what I have to give. I want my every movement, every thought, every word, everything to bring glory to You.
Because You are Sovereign; You are good. You are the Maker, not only of heaven and earth, but each person, of me. I am fearfully and wonderfully made in You. I stray too often, a lost sheep wandering, but You always bring me back to Your fold and never cease to run after me with Your care. I belong to You. I do not belong to myself or any other, but only to You. We are all created to be Yours and to reflect who You are and worship You with joyful gladness. You know my every part because it is Yours.
I am grateful and I come before You in gratitude and love with thanksgiving on my lips and shouts of acclamation for Your name. My heart cries out to You and my body echoes my inner state of ecstasy. What better place to be than in Your presence, with the King of Kings and LORD of Lords. You have a beautiful dwelling place and I am honored to be a part of it. I give thanks endlessly. I am unworthy of Your goodness, of the mercy and grace You have bestowed upon me. But You do it so generously and with unending generosity. Your goodness lasts forever. For me and for every human being who will ever exist, You are faithful. You give and You protect and You guide. How amazing is our life because it begins and ends and is always with You.
I praise Your beautiful and gracious and faithful name, Jesus. Amen.
