Dear friends, welcome to Peace Prayers. My name is Juli, the creator and host of the podcast, and I would love to be able to spend some time with you today. Our goal is to take a few moments and dive deep into God’s word before meditating on it ourselves. I’ll read a scripture from the Bible, and then we’ll pray it together over our lives. Invite a friend to listen in and let’s start our day with God’s peace. I am so excited to get started; thank you for joining me today.

You are listening to Episode 104 and today’s verse is Micah 7:11

The day for building your walls will come,
the day for extending your boundaries.

Let’s pray together.

God, I am waiting. For so many things. Your promises are true and steadfast and You have given abundantly to me all I could ever ask for or dream. But I am still waiting. Some promises are yet to be fulfilled. Some dreams seem unattainable. Sometimes I feel stuck where I am, unable to reach beyond this prescribed box I live in, rooted in the same old, never changing rut I have been trying to leave for years.

I need help believing these words. I need to know that You haven’t forgotten about me. That Your plans for me are bigger than even I know. That I will not always have to be here when there is so much I long for. I need You to tell me what the next steps are and where I’m supposed to be and where I’m supposed to go. If wisdom and guidance are what’s holding me back, please help me to hear You.

But perhaps there is something else. Perhaps it’s a physical obstacle, perhaps it’s pride or anxiety in my heart, perhaps it’s money, time, or distance. Perhaps it’s sin. Perhaps it’s other people and their approval. Perhaps it’s because I am afraid.

Whatever this reason or thing in my way, LORD, please remove it in Your will and timing. And teach me to be patient, to wait steadfastly and trust in You with all my heart. I want to know that You will guide my path and that it’s not what I want that matters. I want You to decide what’s best for me. I pray that I do not doubt You or test You or give up on the mission You have for me. And when the waiting is hard, oh help me to wait. Help me to focus on the good I already have and building up what is still needed.

I pray this for anyone waiting today. Waiting for a career, for a home, for a spouse, for healing, for reconciliation, for peace, for money, for friends, for school, for a church, for a child. God, we’re all waiting. We all have promises that we know You made to us and they’re not here yet. But like Abraham, even if it takes 40 years, help us to hold on to that promise and not let go and not try to force it.

Is today the day, LORD? Is today the day of building the walls and extending the boundaries? Oh let it be so, please, King Jesus.

I pray this in the sovereign and steadfast name of Jesus. Amen.

That is the end of our collective prayer, but don’t forget that you can keep praying and meditating on this on your own. Thank you so much for joining me and I hope you have a peaceful rest of your day. I’d love to ask you a favor before we go and that is to please subscribe and leave a review for the podcast if you haven’t already. That is the best way to invite other people to join us in our prayers and it helps me more than you can know.

And let’s get to know each other better. Follow me over on Instagram at thejulihernandez where you can DM me prayer requests or suggestions on verses you’d like me to pray on the podcast or just let me know what’s going on in your life. Another way to get in touch with what I’m up to is on my website at www.thejulihernandez.com. My website hosts a transcription of each prayer so that you can pray them whenever you like. You’ll also see monthly blog posts that detail my next writing project and I can’t wait to engage with you on that as well. Let’s connect, but for now, Shalom.
