Dear friends, welcome to Peace Prayers. My name is Juli, the creator and host of the podcast, and I would love to be able to spend some time with you today. Our goal is to take a few moments and dive deep into God’s word before meditating on it ourselves. I’ll read a scripture from the Bible, and then we’ll pray it together over our lives. Invite a friend to listen in and let’s start our day with God’s peace. I am so excited to get started; thank you for joining me today.

You’re listening to Episode 107 and today’s verse is Zephaniah 3:11

On that day you, Jerusalem, will not be put to shame
for all the wrongs you have done to me,
because I will remove from you your arrogant boasters.
Never again will you be haughty on My holy hill.

Let’s pray together.

God, I am reminded today of all that I have done that is offensive to You. I know that I sin so much. I know my very nature causes me to sin. I know that I deserve death. I know I have sinned against You and You only. I know this grieves Your heart.

But I also know that I am forgiven. I know that You do not remember my sins. I know that You delight in me as Your child. I know that You renewed my very being and cleansed me. I know I have a place in Your family. I know that I have been given life at the cost of Your Son. I know that You are pleased to have me come to You.

And no longer do I need to be bound to my haughty ways. My old arrogant life is behind me. The shameful wrongs I committed against You are no more. And whenever they try to entice me back, Your blood bars the way, declaring forevermore that I live in You now. And the evil is removed from me. I have a way out and You help me to stand up under temptation.

Thank You, Jesus. I am humbled by Your sacrifice. It is the most delightful and sobering gift I will ever receive. And I am filled with gratitude knowing that I can abound in You for all eternity and never have to live in a life of broken filth again.

Whenever I fail or falter, God, lift me up. Show me again my place and help me walk in it. I am sorry and I receive the forgiveness You already paid for. I don’t have to live there again. I am blessed and redeemed and clean and so so happy.

Let me enter Your city and worship You in it. Bring back all Your people. Let Your light shine to bring the lost home.

I pray this in the redeeming and victorious name of Jesus. Amen.

That is the end of our collective prayer, but don’t forget that you can keep praying and meditating on this on your own. Thank you so much for joining me and I hope you have a peaceful rest of your day. I’d love to ask you a favor before we go and that is to please subscribe and leave a review for the podcast if you haven’t already. That is the best way to invite other people to join us in our prayers and it helps me more than you can know.

And let’s get to know each other better.
