Episode 90: Psalm 42:8 & 92:2
Today’s verse is Psalm 42:8
By day the Lord directs His love,
at night His song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.
And Psalm 92:2
It is good to proclaim Your unfailing love in the morning,
Your faithfulness in the evening.
Let’s pray together.
Father, I come to You with my days.
I pray that my mornings are filled with You. May my first thought be of You. May I be so in love with You that I spend my first moments with You. Jesus, be beside me and prepare me for the day. Fill me with Your strength and mercy. Fill me with Your love. And help me be aware of how wonderful and amazing and powerful You are. Let me praise Your name and give You all acclaim. Let my energy and emotions and physicality all express how beautiful You are. Let Your love flow through me.
Throughout my day, may I keep this in mind. May your love, hope, and faith rise in me and stay with me during the day. I pray that I am of one mind with You. May my cares and anxieties be cast upon You. Help me to be filled with Your Spirit and to be sustained by Your beautiful river of life. Let it be the source of all my help.
At night, Jesus, may I lay down my troubles and woes and realize how much I have been given by You throughout the day. May my heart sing for joy as I lie on my bed, knowing that You are with me. You are always my help and my shield. Help me to reflect on Your faithfulness and realize where You were directing me throughout my day. And may I pray to You, giving You my last thoughts before sleep. Guide me to my rest, Jesus, and protect me as I dream. May my life be sustained by You and all You give me. And help me to surrender everything to You so that I may be completely renewed and refreshed as I sleep.
Jesus, Father, Holy Spirit, I am Yours. Be my everything, in every moment, through every period of my day. I give You all and receive all You have for me. Thank You, God.
I pray this in the unfailing and limitless name of Jesus. Amen.
