Dear friends, welcome to Peace Prayers. My name is Juli, and I would love to be able to spend some time with you today. What I'd like to do is read a Scripture from the Bible about peace, and then pray it together over our lives. That way we can have a few minutes to start our day with God's peace. I'm so excited to get started with you. Thank you for joining me today.

Today's verse is Galatians 6:16.

And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them and upon the Israel of God.

The rule Paul is referring to here is about the Galatians not being so concerned with circumcision as they are with being saved in Christ.

Let's pray together.

Jesus, You have given us such a good gift. We are saved. Our salvation is assured through Your sacrifice. Thank You so much for this. Thank You that we don't have to be concerned about rules or regulations about trying to save ourselves.

You did it all for us. And, LORD, we are sanctified in You, and that sanctification comes, yes, with us being saved, but then it comes afterward as well. It's a progression. Your Holy Spirit comes in and works through our lives, helping us, instructing us, counseling us, and we are changed from the person that we used to be. Slowly and surely, we become more like You. Though we are instantly saved, it's a process to become more like You.

So, I pray that we will fight for that today. We will delight in that process, and we will know that we obey the rules and the items from Your word, not because we have to in order to be saved. We obey them because we are already saved. Thank You so much for that gift.

And, God, sometimes it's really hard. It's really hard to live in this world and to try to be obedient to Your will and to Your truth, which is all truth. But I pray, Jesus, that You would help us to persevere, and Your Holy Spirit is our friend walking beside us and dwelling within us, always speaking to us. Our conscience is Your Holy Spirit, and we are a new creation in You, LORD.

Whatever good things we do, whatever our lives look like, boasting about them or being proud of our accomplishments, it really doesn't mean anything. What counts is that we walk by Your rule because we are saved, because we want to bring glory to You. We wanna show the world who You are, not who we are. And, Jesus, there is peace and mercy for this. We want those things. This is how we get them.

And, Jesus, whatever hard thing we're going through, whatever anything that is happening in the world, the people in our lives, the circumstances we live in. Be with us in those today. In the hard things, in the small things. Shower us with Your peace.

LORD, if anyone's trying to make a decision, I pray that You would give them counsel and guidance. If anyone needs to walk away from something, LORD, help them to have the strength to make that decision today and carry it out. LORD, if those who are listening have any type of division happening, strife with anyone they know, I pray peace and wisdom for how to speak, how to act, how to make that peace that You give us.

And for all us, just suffering under the load of the pressures of the world, the stress it brings, decisions of other people that impact us that we can't do anything about. You feel helpless and small. God, You are bigger than anything, and You have already saved us. You have already won the victory. Help us walk and stand tall in that and have hope. It doesn't take away the hardship that are still there, but we can have hope. Fill us with that today. Jesus.

In Your name, I pray. Amen.

That is it from me today, my friends. Thank you so much for joining me, and I hope that you have a wonderful, peaceful rest of your day. If you'd like to connect with me, you can find me on Instagram at thejulihernandez. I'd love to see you over there. Otherwise, I will see you guys on Monday.
