Dear friends, welcome to Peace Prayers. My name is Juli, and I would love to be able to spend some time with you today. What I'd like to do is read a Scripture from the Bible about peace and then pray it together over our lives. That way we can have a few minutes to start our day with God's peace. I'm so excited to get started with you. Thank you for joining me today.

Today's verse is Isaiah 54:10.

Though the mountains move and the hills shake, my love will not be removed from you, and my covenant of peace will not be shaken, says Your compassionate LORD.

Let's pray together.

Father, what a powerful message this is.

And, yes, it is written about the future of Zion, about Your people, Israel. But I think there are things that we can take from it today. Those of us who don't belong to that, we're still Your children. You've still called us to be Your church and You've made promises to us as well. So, LORD, help us to hold onto those promises.

Right now, I feel like the earth is shaking. The mountains are moving. The whole world might be falling apart, but You said that even when that happens, that You're going to take care of us. You will still love us. You still have a plan for wholeness for us. You have compassion on us.

It's so hard to find hope right now. It seems like hatred and despair, changes, and not necessarily the good kind, those are all that we can see. It's pure torture living sometimes, LORD. We want to see the goodness around us. We want to have hope for the future, but it's really hard. I know there are a lot of people suffering right now. Because of this, Jesus, I ask for You to give them hope today, to remind them through Your words that You don't abandon Your people. Even when there's hardship, You have a plan. We can't always see the way ahead, but we can trust that You can, and that You will give us each step as we need it.

I need that reassurance myself, but I just pray that any spirit of despair, any spirit of hopelessness will be broken in Your name, Jesus. You have the power to break through the walls that we put up, through the fear that we hide behind. We can trust that You are powerful enough to take care of us. So if you feel that today, I pray God's peace for you. I pray God's hope for you. There can be restoration. There can be reconciliation. There can be a confirmation of your future and you can make a difference because God will lead you and know where that he leads is going to lead to despair.

So trust in Him today. Father, help us to trust in You today.

Thank You that You are compassionate, that You don't give up on us. That You care when we're having a bad day, when we're sad, when we're lonely, when we're scared. You care about those things and You want to bring us to a better place. Help us to trust You to do that, to move. Sometimes we're so scared that we just stay in one place, but we need to move. We need to follow You. We need to be bold even when that's not an easy thing to do. So, Father, bring us our next step and bring us the courage to take it. And while we take it, give us hope and help us to spread that hope to others. Because it's one step at a time. It's one action at a time. It's one person at a time. You use us.

In the end, we will be standing with You, and You will remake the earth. You have promised to do that, LORD. Help us, dear Jesus. Help us because we are lost without You. We can't do this without You. There is just such a, such a fear, such a brokenness. Oh, LORD, save us. Save us today. Bring us Your hope.

In Your name, I pray. Amen.
